ECOlogical and coevolutionary dynamics of plant-animal interactions

NEWS: In Sepember 2015 I got a position as Titular Researcher at the Department of Eco-ethology at the Instituto de Ecología, A.C. (Mexico). And now, I can serve as the primary advisor for students at the Instituto de Ecología AC (Mexico), Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico), and Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (Brazil). M.Sc., Ph.D., and Postdoctoral Fellowships are available through the Mexican and Brazilian National Councils of Science and Technology. Interested in joining the lab? [More info.]

Dr. Wesley Dáttilo

Currently, my main interest is to understand how all aspects of tropical biodiversity, particularly its evolutionary origins and ecological mechanisms shaping present day ecosystems. Our studies combine natural history, statistical models, geographic information systems (GIS), and extensive field inventories and experimentation at different levels. Moreover, we are seeking to understand how species and interactions vary through space-time, and how they are influenced by environmental perturbations. Most of our studies are based in Mexico and Brazil.
